In your first session (intake session), you’ll be warmly greeted by your therapist who will introduce themselves to you and give you some background information on themselves. Your therapist will start off by asking you questions to get to know you a little better and to gain an understanding of what brings you to therapy. Your therapist will discuss the process of counseling, confidentiality, number of session, payment information, medical history and current symptoms. You can expect a warm friendly atmosphere, free of judgement. Know that things take time and healing is a process, but your therapist is right there with you on the journey.
